Overview

Chevron’s US Central Team oversees operations across several states, including the Bakken asset that recently shifted from Hess to Chevron. During a transition of this size, the need for steady communication and familiar faces on the ground becomes even more important.

That’s where we come in. We provide North Dakota–based communications, external affairs and IMT PIO support to help keep everything moving smoothly, visibly and confidently during this change.

Challenge, Strategy & Execution

North Dakotans had long-standing trust in Hess, so one of the biggest challenges was helping communities, agencies and partners feel confident in Chevron’s continued commitment. At the same time, the region was navigating a tight labor market and major projects on the horizon, making stability and clear communication even more important. Chevron needed continuity, a steady local presence and a way to keep field teams, leadership and corporate aligned through the transition.

To meet that need, we built an embedded North Dakota communications model that blended incident management, CSR and external affairs into one cohesive system. We stayed closely connected with the US Central Communications team, kept leadership updated and made sure local operations fit seamlessly into the wider Shale & Tight framework.
