Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Traditional Media Buyer to develop and execute media buying strategies across TV, radio, print, and out-of-home channels. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong negotiation skills, and be adept at analyzing data to drive client success. This position is remote-friendly, though we are headquartered in Bismarck, ND.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic media buying plans for TV, radio, print, and out-of-home advertising.
- Analyze audience data to provide insights and recommendations for media placements.
- Negotiate rates and secure media buys, ensuring cost-effective scheduling and maximizing value for clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with media vendors to foster collaboration and secure advantageous opportunities.
- Monitor campaign performance and conduct post-campaign analysis to optimize future strategies.
- Create and maintain detailed media schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client goals.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to align media strategies with overall brand objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging media platforms to identify new opportunities.
- Manage the reconciliation process for media buys and assist with billing discrepancies.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals and presentations.
- Maintain campaign budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of media buying experience, particularly in traditional media channels.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing competitive rates.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with media planning tools (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, Guideline).
- Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver results under pressure.
- Experience with Advantage is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills.
