Minot Account Manager

Odney is seeking a Senior Account Executive to lead the development and execution of highly effective marketing, public relations and advertising strategies in Minot. This person will work with a team of research, creative, digital, media, social media and public relations experts in a results-driven environment. The successful candidate will need at least five years of marketing and/or advertising experience. The position will be remote and will be based in Minot and may require some travel. Odney offers an excellent salary and benefits package.



  • Work with multiple clients in the development and execution of highly effective public relations, marketing and advertising strategies
  • Serve as the senior point of contact, internal and external, for key client accounts
  • Execute earned media plans with approval from client and assigned account staff
  • Write news releases, pitches, talking points, crisis communication plans, public relations plans and marketing plans
  • Assist clients with crisis response
  • Make media calls to pitch ideas and encourage coverage
  • Coordinate news conferences, editorial board visits and public relations events
  • Provide tracking and measurement metrics for assigned earned media campaigns
  • Build relationships with key media contacts
  • Proof and copy edit assigned documents
  • Manage client budgets and internal costs
  • Develop and maintain project timelines 
  • Manage workflow across several projects at one time



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in advertising, marketing or public relations
  • Experience working directly with clients to manage campaign development, project deliverables and deadlines
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines 
  • Strong organizational, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent proofreading skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
  • Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing and managing time efficiently
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Advertising preferred
